THE LATE REV. CANON MALCOLM WIDDECOMBE
Canon Widdecombe was Vicar of St. Philip & St. Jacob's Church in Bristol for nearly 50 years. When he arrived in the early 60's the Church was threatened with closure because of dwingling congregations and financial problems.
When he retired there were several hundred people attending Pip 'n' Jay's
as it is affectionately known and over the years the congregation had given over 3 million pounds to Mision work all over the World.
